With the NBA season rolling along, there have been many surprises as to who could be the MVP. LeBron James has had a good season averaging about 25 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds a game, and with James’ help, the Cavaliers are starting to pick up some momentum by going on a six game win streak. The biggest surprise may be how well some young players in the Western Conference may be playing like Stephen Curry and Anthony Davis.  Many consider Anthony Davis one of the best all-around players in the league. He is averaging a double-double of about 25 points and 12 rebounds a game. He was an All-Star last year and is only in his second year in the league. Stephen Curry is averaging about 23 points and 8 assists on a Warriors team that is 16-2. They are first in the Western Conference and he is shooting about 42 percent from three. His teammate Klay Thompson is averaging 21 points a game and is one of the most consistent and efficient players in the league for the amount of shots he gets because of Stephen Curry taking so many. In the Eastern Conference, Kyle Lowry is leading the Raptors to the best record in the East while scoring 39 points over Utah and averaging about 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists for a team that lost in the first round of the playoffs last year. Another player in the MVP discussion is Marc Gasol. The reigning Defense Player of the Year is averaging about 20 points and 8 rebounds a game while leading Memphis to the fourth best record in the stacked Western Conference. No matter what happens this year, the NBA MVP conversation is wide open this year with Kevin Durant just getting back from injury and LeBron playing well with more options to choose from.
