Upcoming NBA Playoffs

Eric L., Sports

With the NBA playoffs around the corner, there are still many uncertainties about who will be in the playoffs and who will not be. The Easter Conference looks to be solidified from spots one through 6 with the Cavaliers having the best record overall at over 45 wins. However, after Indiana at the number six spot, three teams currently have the best chance at the seven and eighth seeds: the Miami Heat, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Detroit Pistons. All three teams are within one and a half games of each other and have less than twenty games left in their seasons. The Bucks are favored to make it to the playoffs behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was a first time All Star this year while the Heat could possibly make it to the playoffs in improbable fashion after their former star player Dwyane Wade left the team after being drafted by them in 2003. As for the Western Conference, it is led by both the Warriors and Spurs who both have over 52 wins and are guaranteed a playoff berth. Memphis has over a five game lead on the Denver Nuggets for the seventh spot meaning the eighth spot is the only one truthfully up for consideration. The Nuggets are fighting the Portland Trailblazers for the last spot and are currently a couple of games out.  With the season coming to an end, we will have to see how this plays out.
