Anna B.
Hello readers! My name is Anna, I’m fourteen, and I am a sophomore at GWUOHS. This is my first year being a writer for the Yawp and I am very excited to start. I love reading and writing, and you can usually find me with my trusty pair of fuzzy socks and my nose stuck in a book (probably Harry Potter, I’ve read the series five times). I love to write short stories, articles, and novel length stories too. When I’m not reading, writing, or studying, I am playing competitive lacrosse and traveling around the US to play for different teams. I fell in love with sports at an early age, starting with karate and soccer, and then moving towards power tumbling. I was a power tumbler for over five years, and when I was eleven years old I attended the Junior Olympics and won tenth in the United States! Sadly, my knees and wrists couldn’t take the stress and strain, and now I play lacrosse! My home base in in Knoxville, Tennessee and I live with my family, four dogs, two cats, and two ferrets. I am very excited to be one of the sports journalists this year, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
