An Autumn Breeze
Sun’s light staining leaves of long past days
golden as agriculture’s fresh sweet maize
And wondrous new things take place
Old voices that keep us in disgrace
Winter, summer, spring time too
Make our memories golden and true
Yet as old leaves get raked away
We share a memory of a fresh autumn day
The world turns a different shade
As crunching leaves from the trees cascade
and Mother Nature’s sweet gifts delight
All living things before winter’s bite
Slowly fall time days drift lazily by
as we laugh and play under a golden sky
Yet before we move towards an icy blight
Kiss the autumn days a sweet good night
